Dan just e-mailed me to tell me DealCatcher has just added feeds for their "Deal Alert" service. Now you can go to their site, search on a product keyword and subscribe to the feed. I have tested this by subscribing to iPod. You might want to stay on top of deals that may interest you ? I think this is pretty good use of RSS!

You can read blogs as independent web-sites (checking them at will) or subscribe to them via an aggregated news reader. The latter allows you to view blogs when you know there is new content, and makes sense when reading multiple blogs and news sources. Subscribing to your teamates' blogs; the blogs I have listed here; a search result from Google Blog Search and this class blog, via an aggregated news reader (in this case Bloglines) is required. In order to subscribe to a site, create an account at bloglines, and copy this blog's address from the browser window to your subscription form in bloglines.

I decided to put my computer science degree to use... or should I say lack of. I coded the RSS alerts myself because I was tired of waiting for Tim. He has been real busy working on Kolinka. It's the first programming I've done since 1999, so lets hope it all works.
